For three generations our small hyttа in Kosta has shaped clear and smoke-grey glass by hand — tableware, vases and lighting made one piece at a time at the furnace.
Tumblers, carafes and bowls in everyday weights, finished with a cut or ground foot.
Free-blown and mould-blown vases in clear, smoke and a soft forest green.
Pendant shades and small lamp bases blown to order for interior makers.
Glass is a slow craft. A gather of molten glass leaves the furnace at over a thousand degrees and is turned, blown and shaped in a few minutes before it stiffens.
We keep two furnaces running through the cold months and open the workshop to visitors on fixed afternoons. Nothing here is mass-produced; small differences between pieces are part of the material.
