The hytta sits at the edge of the pine forest, in a timber building that has held a furnace since the works first opened. Two glassblowers and an apprentice work the morning shift while the glass is at temperature.
We blow to our own standing range and take a limited number of commissions each season — mostly lighting and tableware for makers and small restaurants. Commissions are discussed at the furnace, sketched, and sampled before a run is agreed.
Offcuts and seconds are melted back. Annealing is done overnight in the lehr so pieces cool slowly and keep their strength.
